Rules
- Expression: Neutral, mouth closed. No smiling.
- Glasses: Not allowed. Remove all eyewear before taking your photo.
- Eyes: Both eyes must be open and clearly visible.
- Ears: Should be visible where possible.
- Head coverings: Not allowed unless for religious reasons. Face must be fully visible from forehead to chin.
- Background: Plain white. No patterns, shadows, or other people.
- Lighting: Even, no shadows on face or background.
- Recency: Taken within the last 6 months.
- Size: Malaysia uses 35x50mm — 5mm taller than the ICAO standard 35x45mm used by most countries. Make sure your photo matches this size exactly.
