Privacy at PassportPix
Your photo is processed in memory and deleted
Here's exactly what happens:
- You upload a photo. It's sent over HTTPS to our server.
- Our AI model (BiRefNet, an open source model) removes the background, crops to spec, and runs 25+ compliance checks. All processing happens in RAM — nothing is written to disk.
- Your result is held in memory for 10 minutes so you can complete payment and download. After that, it's gone.
- We never store, log, or train on your photos. There is no database of user photos. There is no analytics on photo content.
What we collect
- IP address — used for rate limiting only. Held in server memory, not written to disk, lost on server restart.
- Payment info — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see your full card number. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
- Web analytics — page views and referrers via our hosting providers (Vercel, Cloudflare), and Google Ads conversion tracking to measure advertising effectiveness. Google may set cookies on your browser. No photo content is included in any analytics. See Google's privacy policy.
Where your data is processed
Your photo is processed on servers located in the United States (Oregon). Payment is processed by Stripe (United States). If you are located outside the US, your photo data is transmitted to and processed in the US, then deleted.
We do not sell your personal information
California residents (CCPA): we collect no personal information beyond what's listed above, and we do not sell or share it for advertising. To request deletion of any data, contact us at support@passport-pix.com.
