Important: Vietnam uses a 4 x 6 cm photo format, which is larger than the ICAO standard 35 x 45 mm used by most countries. Do not submit a standard passport-sized photo — it will be rejected.
Rules
- Expression: Neutral. Mouth closed, no smile.
- Glasses: Not allowed.
- Eyes: Both eyes must be open and clearly visible.
- Forehead: Should be visible. No heavy fringe or bangs.
- Head coverings: Not allowed unless for religious reasons. Face must be fully visible.
- Background: Plain white. No patterns, shadows, or other objects.
- Lighting: Even, no shadows on face or background.
- Recency: Taken within the last 6 months.
